·         Reopening Update – Despite the considerable financial and staff resources Liberty has invested in the waiver process, the State of California has reportedly ended the waiver program and is moving towards a new school reopening process.  We have been provided very little new information about how this will work and how we can qualify for reopening.  When we are provided with more information, we will pass that along to our families.  We continue to be prepared to reopen when our County and State allow the reopening process to begin.

·         Liberty Talent Show - All Liberty Students are welcome to participate in the 11th annual Liberty School (Virtual) Talent Show.  Students are encouraged to be creative and do whatever brings them joy.  The sky's the limit!  Ideas could include, but are not limited to: magic, juggling, poetry, acting, yo-yo tricks, clowning, singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, karate, soccer ball tricks, comedy, and so on. All acts will be pre-recorded and presented as a performance video, which can be viewed on Friday, March 26th at 6:30 pm on Zoom or on YouTube March 26th-28th at your convenience.  If you are interested in being a part of the Liberty virtual talent show this year, please make sure to read through the Talent Show information forms that are included in this week’s student packets. Extra information forms can also be picked up in the office. Please return your parent signed permission slip to the office no later than Friday, February 5th.  If you have any questions, please email Tammy Thomas at tthomas@libertysd.org

·         Packet Pick Up and Drop Off – Please contact the main office to arrange for an alternative drop off or pick option if anyone in your family has has been in close contact with someone, is displaying systems or has contracted COVID-19.

To Ponder…

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep is this:  To rise above the little things.
