- Parent/Teacher Conferences – Parent/Teacher Conferences will begin today and will run through November 29th. There will be early dismissal on these days at 12:10 p.m. for 1st through 6th grades and 11:45 dismissal for TK and Kindergarteners. Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you to understand your child’s educational growth and progress and communicate your questions or concerns.
- Thanksgiving Break - Liberty School will be closed for students Monday through Friday of next week to celebrate Thanksgiving. Daycare will be open on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Please enjoy a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.
- Liberty School Giving Tree - It’s that time of year again! Every year, Liberty School participates in a program called The Giving Tree. This program gives presents to families and children who may not otherwise receive any. Again, this year, Liberty has partnered with A Christmas for Kids and the Liberty School Foundation to help provide a Happy Holiday to in-need families in our community. The Liberty School Giving Tree will begin Monday, November 13, 2023. Starting Monday, you can stop by the office to take a tag(s) when you drop off or pick up your child. Or consider stopping by before or after your parent-teacher conference. Cash donations are gladly accepted. Cash or checks can be made to The Liberty School Foundation/ Giving Tree and given to Mrs. Grant in the office. The holidays can be a difficult and stressful time for families financially. Please consider donating an item to this worthwhile cause. Students who wish to pick a tag from the tree must have an adult present. - Book Fair - Get Ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way. The Fair will take place from Monday, November 27th through Friday, December 1st from 11:30am - 3:30pm in the Multi-Use Room. - Holiday Shop - We are getting ready to get the ball rolling on our annual Holiday Shop. The Holiday Shop is an opportunity for our children to shop for members of their immediate family for the holidays. Students purchase new and gently used items for a small fee for their family. Our helpers then wrap the presents for the child to take home. The children love to shop and also learn about the spirit of giving. We are asking for any new items you may be able to donate that are for moms, dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc. Anything as simple as a sticker pack or a sewing kit, a screw driver, nail polish, or things of this nature. We can also accept a financial donation to purchase these items. We are not asking for anything perishable, stuffed animals, clothing, or books. When accepting items, we cannot take items that the kids are unable to buy such as knives, realistic looking guns, explicit items, personal items that are not factory sealed (makeup, lotions, perfumes, shaving items, clothing, etc.), hats, books (unless it is part of a gift set), or items that are not "re-giftable" (items that are not in like new condition or new condition, dirty, odor present, or stained). - 6th Grade Canned Food Drive - In coordination with the Redwood Empire Food Bank, the 6th grade class is hosting a food drive starting today (November 15th) and running through December 8th. Please see the flyer going home explaining the items that are needed by the Food Bank. Thanks!
